A DETAILED OVERVIEW OF THE PUBLIC-PRIVATE-PARTNERSHIP INDUSTRY

In Egypt, as a part of Egypt’s vision 2030, the government is seeking to promote public-private partnerships across various sectors such as education, and railways along with new areas for development which includes climate control, seawater desalination, and dry ports. Additionally, the government has launched the EDU 2.0 program which will be carried out between 2018 and 2030 under which around 1,000 distinguished language schools will be established under the PPP system. In 2022, it is estimated that public-private partnership projects worth 16 billion Egyptian pounds (USD 860 million) have been rolled out by the government to promote PPPs in the country.
